Magic Dirt will release a tribute EP next month to their late bass player Dean Turner.
Turner lost a nine year battle with a rare form of soft tissue cancer on Friday August 21.
The new EP, White Boy, is a collection of the final projects Turner worked on before his death.
The EP includes two tracks, Summer High and Love Is The Armour.
Guest vocalists Rowland S Howard duets with Adalita on Summer High and Gareth Liddiard (The Drones) joins her on vocals on ‘Love Is The Armour’. Both tracks were produced by Turner.
The release also features two previously unreleased songs, ‘Deep In A Net Of Red’ and ‘Valley Of The Rose’ plus ‘Future Fuck’, from a now deleted 2008 tour EP.
Magic Dirt will head out on a limited date tour in support of the EP.
Turner and Magic Dirt had planned a tour in August but the bass player’s deteriorating condition led to its cancellation.
The shows will now be rescheduled for October and November as a tribute to Turner.
Commenting on the decision to head back out on the road, remaining Magid Dirt members Adalita, Raul and Adam said: "Dean loved playing live. He liked to play loud and hard and give it all he had – 110 per cent all the way.
“We are so proud of Dean’s legacy and the gifts he has left with us: his perseverance, passion and commitment to the music, his endearing boyish fun, his invigorating and uplifting attitude on that long hard road and his pure punk rock spirit on stage, behind the scenes and around us at all times."
The band will also bring with them on tour, a DVD of the recent videos made for tracks off the new EP – another of the final projects Turner worked on.
"It was Dean’s idea to giveaway the first 100 copies of the DVD to our fans at the live shows,” the band said.
“Dean felt it was vital to include our audience as part of the whole creative process and it was important for him to give something back to the fans.
“Dean was deeply pragmatic and always thinking ahead. We wish to honour his hard working spirit with these shows, to unite with our audience that has so deeply shown their respect, appreciation and love for Dean and his music."
Sons of the Sun and Matt Sonic bass player Matt Sonic will play bass in Turner’s absence.
Sonic, a close friend of the bands, has filled in for Turner when he was unable to play shows in the past.
