Toni Collette & The Finish

Toni Collette & The Finish has begun work on a new record.

The Aussie outfit has laid down new tracks with a number of guest musicians, the band’s publicist confirmed.

It is not known at this stage who the guest musicians were, though the recording of the tracks did occur in a London studio.

“A new album is coming although will probably see release in 2010,” a statement from the band’s publicist said.

Australian actress, singer and songwriter Toni Collette fronts Toni Collette & The Finish.

Other band members include former Gelbison drummer Dave Galafassi, Augie March front man Glenn Richards, David Lane, Pete Farley and Amanda Brown.

Toni Collette & The Finish released their debut album, Beautiful Awkward Pictures in 2006.
