The lead singer of Magic Dirt will step out on her own later this month to perform work from her upcoming debut solo record.
Adalita Srsen, better known as Adalita, will play solo gigs during June and July.
“For the first time ever, Adalita will be hitting the road in solo mode,” a statement on the band’s website said.
“Eager to road test her new solo material, Adalita will be kicking off her tour in New South Wales, before heading into the studio to finish work on her forthcoming debut solo album.”
Adalita’s solo record will be the first time the singer has released material outside the Melbourne band since the release of the singles ‘Double Dare’ and ‘Sex Beast’ in 2006 for Australian film, Suburban Mayhem.
Magic Dirt announced in February the band would take a break.
