Jet is set to release their much anticipated new album in August.

The Melbourne outfit will release the album, Shaka Rock, on August 25.

The new album will be released on the band’s newly created Real Horrorshow Records through the Five Seven Music imprint.

The album will have distribution and services through EMI Label Services in the US, UK and Canada and by EMI in the rest of the world under license.

“I can say that the band are thrilled with Shaka Rock in every conceivable way, and excited to know that we are 100 per cent in control of every element of our career at this point with the new set-up,” Jet member Chris Cester said.

“Releasing the record on our own Real Horrorshow Records in conjunction with Allen Kovac and his team at Five Seven, and working with EMI worldwide, the band have never felt stronger. We’ve had a don’t think twice attitude throughout the making of this record which continues as we get ready to release it.”

The first single lifted off Shaka Rock will be She’s A Genius.

Shaka Rock follows on from Jet’s previous releases of Shine in 2007 and the band’s 2004 debut Get Born.
