Paul Dempsey

Paul Dempsey will release his debut solo album, Everything Is True, in August.

The front man with Melbourne band Something For Kate will release the album on August 14.

Everything Is True was recorded on the New South Wales Central Coast and was co-produced by Dempsey and Wayne Connolly (Youth Group, Josh Pyke, You Am I).

The album was mixed in the US by Doug Boehm (Elliot Smith, French Kicks).

It features 11 self-penned songs that see Paul stretching himself to play every instrument on the album.

The first single lifted from the album is ‘Out The Airlock’.

Commenting on the track, Dempsey said: “It’s very stripped-back, it’s one of the most unadorned, naked songs I’ve done. Even just the finger-picking thing – I don’t think I’ve ever recorded a song on any record where I’m just plucking a guitar very simply.”
