Lapses in security have been blamed for Cut Copy’s no show at Adelaide Zoo.
The Melbourne outfit were due to perform as part of Live@the Zoo earlier this month however problems with security pushed the events schedule out.
“Through no fault of the band, the show was running extremely late due to prior lapses in security, preventing the band from appearing at their allotted time on the main stage before the curfew time for that stage.
“We tried to do a workaround and make it work later on a smaller stage, but due to public safety issues this was not possible.
“We simply did not want to see anyone get hurt, and due to prior events that day and the security and organizational situation on site, this could not have been guaranteed.
“This was extremely disappointing to us, as we were looking forward to one last Australian party to end our year of touring. Hope to see you all soon.”
Cut Copy has spent the best part of the last six months travelling the globe in support of their latest record, In Ghost Colours.
