Lady Sovereign does a great job of not taking herself too seriously.

Lady Sovereign
The UK darling of electro rap has released a mix-bag of tracks on her new album, Jigsaw.
Jigsaw may be considered Lady Sov’s difficult second album as it lacks any mega stand out winners like Hoodie and Love Me Or Hate Me, off Sov’s debut, Public Warning.
However, the new album delivers a bit of a personal victory for Sov, with its release being delayed due to record label dramas.
Jigswar also debuts Sov’s singing voice.
There is a bit of a question mark over Sov’s singing ability, however her hip hopping ability on the mic is never in doubt.
Album gems include Bang Bang, Let’s Be Mates, I Got You Dancing and So Human (despite its heavy handed sampling of The Cures’s ‘Close To Me’).
Four stars
