Angus and Julia Stone

Angus Stone will take a break from his duo with sister Julia to work on a solo side project.

Stone’s new side project is called Lady of The Sunshine.

The singer will release his debut solo album with new project Lady of The Sunshine this April.

The album has been named Smoking Gun.

The first single lifted off the new album will be White Rose Parade.

Smoking Gun will be released through Stone’s own label Desert Harvest Records and major EMI.

Little is known about Stone’s new project, except that sister Julia is not listed as appearing in the band, though this is not an indication of a split between the siblings.

According to the new band’s myspace page, Angus Stone will perform guitar and vocals on the album, with Govinda Doyle on bass and drums.

Angus and Julia Stone released their debut album, A Book Like This, in 2008.
