Kings of Leon, Coldplay sign on for bushfire benefit

Kings of Leon
A stellar line-up of international and local acts will join forces next month for a benefit gig for Victorian bushfire survivors.
The gig, scheduled to run simultaneously in both Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday March 14, 2009, has been dubbed, Sound Relief.
As well as the likes of Kings of Leon and Coldplay agreeing the perform at the event, a number of local music heroes will reform for this special event.
Midnight Oil, Hunters & Collectors and Split Enz will all reform for the benefit.

Augie March, Bliss N Eso (with Paris Wells), Gabriella Cilmi, Hunters & Collectors, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson (with Troy Cassar-Daly), Jack Johnson, Jet, Kings of Leon, Liam Finn, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Split Enz, Wolfmother.
Saturday March 14, 2009, Sydney
Coldplay (Acoustic), Eskimo Joe, Hoodoo Gurus, Icehouse, Jet, Josh Pyke, Little Birdy, Midnight Juggernauts, The Presets, Wolfmother, You Am I, and more acts to be announced.
Tickets will be sold for $75 and will go on sale from Ticketek 132 849 www.ticketek.com.au on Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 9am.
All profits from the Melbourne concert will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
For the Sydney concert 50 per cent of the profits will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal and 50 per cent will be donated to The Premier’s Disaster Relief Fund Appeal in Queensland to aid the victims of the Queensland floods.
