Gomez will play a number of solo club dates when they tour Australia in 2009.

The UK outfit will play a handful of shows this January outside their already scheduled dates with US duo, The Black Keys.

The solo shows come off the back of Gomez’s addition to the bill of The Falls Festival, Southbound Festival, and Byron Bay – Music and Arts Festivals.

Gomez’s solo shows will also mark 10 years since the release the band’s debut, Bring It On, won the UK music prize, The Mercury Price.
