Whitley will make his return to the local live scene next year with a national tour.

Whitley aka Lawrence Greenwood will tour the country in January 2009.

The tour will take in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Hobart, Ballarat, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The tour will mark the singer’s last local tour before he heads into the studio to record the follow up to his debut, The Submarine.

Whitley’s as yet titled second album is set for release sometime in 2009.

Joining Whitley on tour as main support is Lisa Mitchell.
