Coldplay has added an extra run of dates to their upcoming Australian tour.

The UK outfit will play additional dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth next February.

“Seeing the demand during the pre-sale window, we decided that we needed to add these extra shows now… so that the fans know there will be tickets available for them tomorrow…. But I’ll bet they go just as quick… so go grab your tickets fast… we can’t just keep on adding shows everywhere,” the band’s Australian promoter Chugg Entertainment said.

The UK outfit will perform their Viva La Vida tour for Australian audiences in February 2009.

Coldplay confirmed they would tour Australia late last month.

Coldplay were last in the country in June 2006.
