Organisers of the December event announced yesterday they have moved this year’s Homebake Cinema from the large marquee tent near the Hopetoun Stage to the structure known as Pavilion On The Park at the lower end of the Domain.
The new festival area will be known as the Homebake Cinema Pavilion.
The Homebake Cinema Pavilion is not an awards-based festival, it is simply a showcase of the most exciting work out there, the best of the best, organisers said.
This year’s program includes films which have taken, or been nominated for, major Awards at Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, Clermont Ferrance, The Academy Awards, Sydney and Melbourne International Film Festivals; London, Chicago, Venice, and Toronto.
