Stereolab names sideshows

The UK band is one of a handful of acts to announce solo side shows on the back of the Australian music festival in 2009.
Other bands to announce solo gigs include Canadian band Born Ruffians, and US outfit The Hold Steady.
All three bands will play a limited number of dates in both Sydney and Melbourne this coming February.
US electronic artist Girl Talk will headline next year’s St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
Joining Girl Talk on the festival’s first line-up are: Stereolab, Architecture In Helsinki, The Hold Steady, The Drones, Cut Off Your Hands, Four Tet, Tame Impala, El Guincho, Jay Reatard, Buraka Som Sistema Dj/Mc Set.
Other acts named for the festival are The Temper Trap, No Age, John Steel Singers, Canyons, Pivot, Port O’brien, Holly Throsby, Born Ruffians, Mountains In The Sky, Tim Fite , Still Flyin , Daedelus.
