The Aussie trio have been working on the follow up to their 2004 self-titled debut.
“We have been in the studio working on our 2nd album and have had a ball,” the band said.
Neon will test run tracks off the new album with a handful of gigs in Melbourne.
The band will play their first Australian show for 2008 in Melbourne next week.
Neon will play further Melbourne dates in December and January.
Neon has been in hibernation for a number of years, only taking time out in January to tour Spain with Redd Kross.
The band has spent much of 2008 writing and recording new material for their forthcoming second album.
