Bumblebeez set themselves 30-day challenge

Posted on 14 October 2008 by Kate Kachor

The Bumblebeez have set themselves the challenge for November of writing and releasing 30 new songs in 30 days.

From November 1, The Bumblebeez members Chris Colonna and sister Pia will attempt to write and record a brand new track for every day of the month. The project will be called 3030.

“These daily artefacts of rhythm and soul will also be prepared for use as mobile phone ringtones so you can assign a different Bumblebeez tone for all your friends in your phonebook, and eventually the cream of the crop will see a release you can touch and feel on some very limited edition 7” vinyl,” the band said.

“3030 will be preceded by the circulation of a brand new bonkers Bumblebeez mixtape, doing the rounds on your favourite blogs soon.”

Colonna has spent the last two months as producer for Adelaide group Wolf And Cub’s new album.

3030 will be The Bumblebeez first new material since the 2007 release of Prince Umberto & The Sister of Ill.
