Bertie Blackman is recording her third studio album with UK producer Lee Groves.

Groves, now based in Sydney, has worked with the likes of Goldfrapp, Basement Jaxx, and Elbow, to name a few.

Blackman’s new album is due for release in early 2009.

In August, the singer released a number of new demos to her myspace page.

The new demos are: Shout Out, Sky Is Falling, and Town of Sorrow.

It has been two years since Blackman has released her debut album, Black.

In March, the singer teamed up with Paul Mac to record a track for Aussie film, Hey Hey It’s Esther Blueburger.
