Missy Higgins will join Ben Folds on his tour across America next month.

The Melbourne singer will tour with the former front man with the Ben Folds Five in October and November.

As well as touring with Folds, Higgins will play a number of her own solo shows along the way.

Higgins has spent much of 2008 touring the US. The singer has just finished an extensive tour support with folk veterans, The Indigo Girls.

Meanwhile, later this week Higgins will release a new music clip for her single, Where I Stood.

The video will debut in the US on Tuesday September 30 and Wednesday October 1 in Australia.

The video was shot in LA by Steven Murashige who in the past has made clips for artists such as Rage Against the Machine, and Incubus.

Earlier this month Higgins lent her support to a global campaign called ‘in my name’ which calls on world leaders to step up their commitments to reduce poverty.

Missy Higgins released her new album, On A Clear Night, late last year.
