Count down begins to new Killers

Posted on 17 September 2008 by Kate Kachor

The Killers will return with their first studio album in two years when they release Day & Age this November.

Day & Age will be the US outfit’s fourth studio album.

The album was produced by Stuart Price (Les Rhythmes Digitales). Price has also worked with The Killers on “Don’t Shoot Me Santa,” their 2007 Christmas single; as well as their 2007 compilation, Sawdust.

Day & Age was assembled at a recording studio in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, where The Killers worked with Lou Reed on two recordings.

The two recordings are ‘Shadowplay’ (from the motion picture soundtrack of Control, Anton Corbijn’s biopic of Ian Curtis), and ‘Tranquilize’.

The first single lifted off the new album will be ‘Human’.

Human will debut worldwide on September 22, while the digital single will be released September 30.

The Killers’ new album Day & Age will be released on November 22.
