Epicure returns with single
Posted on 10 September 2008 by Kate Kachor
The Victorian band will release new single, Snakes and Foxes, in the coming weeks.
The single has been lifted off the band’s new album, Postcards From A Ghost.
Lead singer Juan Alban might be the quiet, introspective type in person, but his pen was dripping venom when he wrote these lines. Heartbreak and betrayal will do that to a guy.
Commenting on the new album, Epicure lead singer Juan Alban said: “I think it’s our angriest record. Lyrically, anyway. I think it’s the most sinister and darkest thing we’ve done. But it’s also our best sounding album.”
Postcards From A Ghost was produced and mixed by Lindsay Gravina (Shihad/Magic Dirt).
Epicure will road test their new album on a limited date tour next month.
The tour will also give the band a chance to introduce new guitarist, ex-Jen Cloher and The Endless Sea guitarist Mick Hubbard.
The band will be touring nationally from October.
