The Black Seeds will release their fourth studio album in Australia later this year.

The New Zealand eight piece will release, Solid Ground, on October 4.

Solid Ground was recorded with Dr Lee Prebble at The Surgery Studio in Wellington.

The album features trumpet player Andrew Christiansen and keyboardist Nigel Patterson.

It is also the follow up to The Black Seeds’ third album, Into The Dojo.

The first single off the album is Slingshot.

The Black Seeds are expected to announce an Australia tour to mark the album’s Australian release.
