Little Birdy will team with Ground Components producer Steven Schram on their upcoming new album.

The Perth band will work on their third studio album with Schram, who has produced records for Custom Kings, Ground Components as well as Little Red.

Little Birdy will record the follow up to their Hollywood album at Melbourne’s Sing Sing studios. They have already laid down three tracks off the new as yet titled album.

“In our first session at Sing Sing Studio we produced three tracks and we couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s going to be quite a departure from our last record with more emphasis on recording soulful, honest and powerful tunes,” the band said.

In January this year, the Perth band shook off rumours of a split with news they were working on their as yet titled third album.

Lead singer Katy Steele sparked rumours of a split late last year when she jetted off on a number of solo international shows.
