Steele joins MGMT on Aussie tour

MGMT will head to Australia for the first time later this year for a number of headlining shows.

The US outfit will perform shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

MGMT will tour in support of their debut record, Oracular Spectacular, which was released in May.

Sleepy Jackson frontman Luke Steele will join MGMT as support on the tour.

Steele will perform a mix of Sleepy Jackson songs and new material from various projects in solo-acoustic mode.

The tour will be opened by Perth rockers Tame Impala.

MGMT are Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden.
