Metallica to launch online hub

The US heavy metal outfit will launch Mission:Metallica, a new commercial business model designed to enable fans to access exclusive content from Metallica, in the months leading up to the release of their new album.
Death Magnetic is the band’s nineth studio album, and follows on from their 2003’s album, St. Anger.
Metallica worked with producer Rick Rubin on their new record.
The Mission:Metallica hub (www.missionmetallica.com) will enable fans to pre-order the album in digital and/or physical formats as well as access exclusive content.
The online hub was developed by Metallica with Universal Music and Warner Brothers.
Metallica will release Death Magnetic in September.
