The Basics will step back in time next month when they tour the country in support of their re-released debut album.

The Melbourne trio, led by Gotye front man Wally De Backer, will re-issue their 2002 record, Get Back.

Get Back was recorded in six days and will be re-released next month as a teaser before The Basics release new material.

The Basics will relaunch the album with a serious of shows as well as a dual state residency in NSW and Victoria.

The band will play across four venues and be supported by 13 different special guests.

The Basics are De Backer, Kris Schroeder and Tim Heath.

Get Back will be released on August 2nd through MGM Distribution.
