Josh Pyke plans to release the follow up to his Memories and Dust album later this year.

The Sydney singer will release his new album, Chimney’s Afire, towards the end of 2008.

News of Pyke’s new album was revealed in a post on the singer’s website.

Pyke intends to road test material off the new album this September.

Newcastle band Firekites will join Pyke on his tour.

The shows will be the singer’s first since his Memories & Dust tour earlier this year.

Pyke released his debut album, Memories & Dust, in 2007.
