The Verve will release their first single in more than 10 years next month.

The UK band will release the single, Love Is Noise, on August 3.

The single is the band’s first single release since 1998’s Sonnet off their 1997 album, Urban Hymns.

Love Is Noise is the first track taken off The Verve’s new album, Forth.

Forth was produced by the band and recorded at State Of The Ark and Metropolis studio in London.

The new album is due for release on Saturday 16th August 2008.

The Verve are Richard Ashcroft (vocals), Simon Jones (bass), Nick McCabe (guitar) and Peter Salisbury (drums).
