Scribe remixes Wyclef

The New Zealand-based Scribe meet up with the former Fugees member, Jean at the MTV Australia Awards in Sydney in April.
In a bid to sample some local hip hop talent, Jean and Scribe took a trip to the studio and laid down a new version of Fast Car.
“It was a great honour to have the opportunity to work with Wyclef,” Scribe said.
“He has been an inspiration to me since I was a teenager and quite possibly I wouldn’t be MC’ing today without his musical influence. I was the biggest Fugees fan and never dreamed I’d meet him, let alone be asked to record with him.”
The original version of Fast Car is from Jean’s latest album CARNIVAL VOL. II MEMOIRS OF AN IMMIGRANT. It featured Paul Simon.
As well as collaborating with Simon, Jean worked with Mary J. Blige, TI, Norah Jones, Akon, Serj Tankian (of System Of A Down), Lil’ Wayne, and Shakira on the album.
