Albert Hammond Jr will head out on a number of solo Australian club dates next month.

The Strokes member will be in the country this August on the back of his Splendour In The Grass festival.

Hammond Jr will play shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. It shows will mark his first solo tour of Australia.

The singer stepped out as a solo artist in 2006 with the release of his debut album, Yours To Keep.

Hammond Jr will release his second studio album, ?Cómo Te Llama? on July 5 through Remote Control.
