Pixies member Frank Black will head to Australia later this year for The Great Escape Festival.

Black will tour with his latest outfit, Black Francis. He was last in the country in March touring the Australian leg of the V Festival with a reformed Pixies outfit.

On the local scene C.W Stoneking will be joined by The Panics, British India, The Mess Hall, Blue King Brown, Paul Kelly, The Galvatrons, Lior, Pikelet, Yves Klein Blue, Little Red, The Seabellies, The ELF, Firekites, Laura Jean, Cassette Kids, Wons Phreely, The Scientists of Modern Music, Theredsunband, The Holidays, Whitley, Spod, Plug In City, more to be announced.

The Great Escape Festival 2008 will be held at Newington Armory, Sydney on October 4-5.
