The Music will head out on a number of solo Australian club dates later this year.

The Leeds-based band will play two local shows this July and August. The shows, one in Sydney the other in Melbourne, are on the back of The Music’s spot at this year’s Splendour In The Grass festival.

The Music will bring on their third studio album on tour with them.

The band will deliver, Strength In Numbers, later this month.

The album was recorded last year after an extended hiatus. It was produced by Flood (Depeche Mode, The Killers, U2, Nine Inch Nails) and Paul Hartnoll from Orbital.

The Music released their self-titled debut album in 2002. In 2004 they released their second album, Welcome to the North.
