Sigur Ros names side shows

The Icelandic outfit will play two gigs, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney this August.
The two shows will mark the Australian return for Sigur Ros. The outfit last toured the country in 2007.
While on tour Sigur Ros may test run material off a rumoured new album.
The group has been locked away in Abbey Road’s studio one recording a track with a boy’s choir and 67-piece orchestra.
The new as yet titled new album is expected to be released in June through EMI.
The line up for this year’s Splendour In The Grass includes:
Devo, Sigur Ros, Tricky, Vampire Weekend, Cold War Kids, The Fratellis, The Wombats, Laura Marling, Band of Horses, MSTRKRFT, Lightspeed Champion, and The Music.
Wolfmother, The Living End, The Presets, Ben Lee, Pnau, The Vines, The Grates, Operator Please, Van She, The Panics, Gyroscope, The Brown Birds From Windy Hill, Scribe (NZ), The Gin Club. More acts are to be announced.
Splendour In The Grass will be held on Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd at Belongil Fields, Byron Bay. Tickets on sale Thursday May 22 at www.qjump.com.au
