Paul Dempsey will take a break from recording his solo album to rejoin his Something For Kate band mates for a one off show.

The Melbourne trio will play an intimate club show in Sydney on July 18.

The show could be the band’s only interstate show for 2008, with Dempsey busy with his new album.

“I’ve been kicking things around for a few months now and I’m happy to report that there is very tangible evidence of an album in the making,” he posted on his myspace.com/pauldempseysolo page.

“Hmmm…..progress has been swifter of late and if things continue like this I could be in a studio very soon, the very thought of which is enough to make me cease writing this and go finish that…. Alright then.”

Tickets for the Something For Kate show will go on sale this Friday May 9 from www.somethingforkate.com, www.oztix.com.au and www.moshtix.com.au.
