The Boat People has signed a publishing deal with independent label, Ivy League.

The Brisbane band are the first band to sign with the label’s publishing group, Ivy League Publishing.

“The Boat People have been on our radar for quite sometime thanks to great songs like ‘Unsettle My Heart’ and ‘Tell Someone Who Cares’, we’re thrilled to welcome them aboard the good ship Ivy League,” Ivy League staffer Andy Cassell said.

The band are in the process of finishing their new album Chandeliers.

After the album is completed they will jet off for a short UK tour where they will play a number of solo dates as well as this year’s Great Escape festival.

Ivy League’s label roster includes The Mess Hall, The Vines, Josh Pyke, Sparkadia and The Silents.
