The singer with Something With Numbers got more than he bargained for when he visited a tattoo parlour while in the US recently.

Band front man Jake Grigg and his band mates Tim Crocker, Lachlan Scott, Scott Chapman and Dave McBeath travelled to the US last month to play as part of the South By South West music festival.

During their time in the US the band headed out for a few drinks, with one night out standing out more than others.

“There was a particular night that stood out above the rest, even though I can’t remember it that well, and it all started in the elevator at our hotel..,” Grigg posted on the band’s myspace page.

“For some reason these two really nice promo girls gave us 3 bottles of Jack Daniels and from then on it’s pretty much a blur.
I can remember going out to dinner with everyone and Lachlan passing out at the table for a few minutes whilst everyone else ate his meal. I can remember dancing pretty hard to Wheatus, playing teenage dirtbag (I must have been drunk).

“I can remember having an amazing time causing trouble on the streets of Austin.
But what I can’t remember is getting a tattoo of a naked woman on my arm. I remember getting a tattoo, but I thought the tattoo had panties on. Turns out that my new, naked, tattoo has the biggest slit in Texas.”
