Krista Polvere has been handed the support spot for Ron Sexsmith’s upcoming Australian tour.

The Aussie folk artist will join the Canadian singer on his March tour starting tonight.

Polvere left Australia for New York last year work to begin work on her debut record.

While in the US she met Ryan Adams. The US singer has since collaborated on songs on Polvere’s debut album, ‘Here Be Dragons’.

Here Be Dragons is slanted for release in Australia in May.

Recorded in New York, the album was produced by producer Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Chris Whitley, Patti Smith, Bob Dylan).

Polvere was last in Australia supporting Adams and his band the Cardinals on their Australian tour.
