Posted on 05 March 2008 by admin

The first single from The Kahn Brothers’ new project will be released next week.

The Kahn Brothers is the new project for former Gelbison members Edo and Nadav Kahn.

The duo will release their new single, Open, on March 10.

Open is the lead single off the brother’s new album, Love Melts Fear.

Commenting on the single, Edo Kahn said: [the single describes] that feeling of standing on the edge of your life, with nothing left to lose and nowhere else to go, so you jump into the unknown.“

Produced by Tony Buchen (Macromantics, Blue King Brown, Kid Confucius), Love Melts Fear, was mixed in Jimmy Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studio in New York.

The album features Hamish Stuart on drums (Jackie Orzasky, Old Man River) and Oliver Smith on bass (Coda, Entropic). Songstresses Sarah Blasko and Jessica Chapnik also provided vocals for the album.

To coincide with the release of Love Melts Fear, the brothers will play a number of local shows.

The pair have just returned home from supporting Ben Lee on a national US tour, as well as playing some of their own shows in Israel, Europe and India.

Love Melts Fear will be released independently on the Kahn’s Shakti label / Inertia on April 19.
