The Hampdens will make their way to Sydney next month for a number of headline and support shows.

The Melbourne band will headline Sydney’s The Vanguard and The Basement in March. They will then support fellow Aussie act Sparkadia and perform at The Royal Sydney Easter Show.

The tour comes on the back of The Hampdens second single release, Asleep On The Lawn, off their debut album, The Last Party.

The album was recorded in Melbourne and New York and engineered by Matt Lovell (Silverchair, Eskimo Joe). It was mixed by Victor Van Vugt (Beth Orton, Nick Cave).

The video for Asleep On The Lawn was directed by Michael Spiccia and shot in Melbourne early this year.

The Last Party is due to be released in May through Warner Music.
