Former members of Sydney band Starky are back in the studio working on material for a new project.

Starky singer Beau Cassidy has teamed with fellow band member Jonathan Wilson on the new unnamed project. The third Starky member, Nick Neal, is no longer a part of the group.

“Starky is over. This is one of my and Jonny’s new projects. It doesn’t have a name yet, [we’re] just writing and recording, hoping to have something out soon,” Beau told elevenmagazine.com.au.

“We also have another new group called Dead Beats with Tim from The Instant and Chris (ex Glass Age) which will hopefully be playing soon.”

Starky called it quits late last year. The band released their self-titled debut studio album in 2006. They are best known for the tracks, Is This How It Ends and Hey Bang Bang.
