Matt Costa has been named as part of the line up for the latest music festival of the Aussie summer calendar, The Happening festival.

The US singer will headline the March 14 festival in Sydney’s Bondi. He will also play a number of solo local gigs.

The line-up will also feature acoustic sets from Will Conner, Dave Rastovich, and Andrew Kidman.

As well as musical acts, the festival will also feature work from fine artists, and filmmakers.

Featured artists and photographers include Thomas Campbell, Andy Davis, Wolfgang Bloch, Andrew Kidman, Jeff Canham, Ryan Heywood, Mark Sutherland, David Lloyd, Greg LaMarche, Peter Webb, Harry Daily, Scott Richards, Julie Goldstein, Alex Kopps, Herbie Fletcher, Kate Sutton, Joe Curren and more.

Films including feature film, “Sliding Liberia” by Britton Caillouette and Nicholai Lidow will also be shown. There will be short films by the Malloys, Thomas Campbell and The Gothic Dolphins.

The Happening will help raise money and awareness for a group of non-profit organizations, including Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. This is the first date of an international tour, including upcoming events in Tokyo, Cornwall (England), Paris, New York City and San Francisco.

Tickets for the event are on sale now for $35 through www.moshtix.com.au. Ticket price includes all music performances, film screenings and entrance to the art exhibition.
