Red Riders has ended months of speculation by openly denying they have split.

The Sydney band announced in a post on their myspace that they are still alive and well and are about to head out on tour.

“Red Riders have NOT broken up,” the band wrote.

The band will play a gig next week at Sydney’s Annandale Hotel. Bridgemary Kiss and Young Lovers will act as support.

Red Riders will test run material off their new album at the show.

The band also squashed rumours that its bassplayer Matt is also not engaged to “someone called Mel.”
